Imo I. Robison was born to Virgil Briggs and Anna Elizabeth (Bette) Hannon Briggs on May 29, 1919 in Stilwell, Oklahoma.
She departed this life May 19, 2008, at her home in the Christie Community, at the age of 88 years 11 months and 20 days.
She married Garlin Jackson Robison June 20, 1936 in Sallisaw, Oklahoma and to this union seven children were born.
Imo loved to travel with her sweetheart, Garlin. The two have traveled the world over by ship, plane, train, bus and their airstream travel trailer, even going over the Talihina Drive in a 1925 Model T. They have visited Mexico, Canada, the Holy Land, Jamaica, Puerto Rico, St. Thomas, St. Kitt, Martinique, Venezuela and sailed throught the Panama Canal in South America and were members of the Wally Byam Caravan Club. After joining the Caravan Club, they began the Oklahoma Green Country Unit. Imo served as First Lady for 2 different years. They also lead the Ozark Fall Foliage Caravan for 31 years. It is the longest running annunal caravan in Wally Byam history.
Imo and Garlin were instrumental in starting Whitmire Community Church, where they raised their children and grandchildren. Imo served the Lord as a pianist and Sunday school teacher.
They worked at canning factories in Arkansas and Oklahoma before purchasing the factory in Proctor and renaming it Robison Canning Company.
Imo and Garlin were co-oweners of the Green Country Implement Trailers and Robison-Patterson Custom Bailing.
The also helped co-found the Christie-Proctor Volunteer Fire Department and traveled to Idaho to get the department's first tanker fire truck.
Imo and Garlin were always together. The Hospice and Memorial Hospital nurses commented about their awesom and unique love.
When they spent 50 years together, they renewed their vows. At 65 years, they celebrated by going on a cruise with their four daughters, son-in-law and granddaughter. They were truly soul mates.
Imo's parents, children; Garlin Earl, twin daughters, sisters; Ruth Shannon, Sarah Keys, brothers; George Briggs, Samuel Briggs and Joe (Snooks) Briggs and great grandchildren; Bobbi Lynn Gaches and Nathan Charles preceded her in death.
She is ssurvived by her husband of 72 years, Garlin of the home, daughters; Pearl Gaches and Bob of Christie, Barbara Fallen and Carl of Tahlequah, Deloris Patterson of Proctor, Glenna Philpott and Wesley of Tahlequah, Oklahoma, Veronica Ruiz of Vera Cruz, Mexico, one special granddaughter; Jamie McGee, who lovingly cared for them, 14 grandchildren and 3 by love, 36 great grandchildren and 21 by love, 16 great-great grandchildren and 11 by love and numerous family and friends.
Funeral services were held Friday May 23, 2008 at the Hart Funeral Home with Bro. Audie Vaughn officiating.
Interment followed at the Stilwell City Cemetery under the direction of the Hart Funeral Home.

Garlin Jackson Robison, the son of William Henry Robison and Martha Augusta Pearl (Carlton) Robison, was born October 21, 1916, in Short, Oklahoma. He passed from this life on July 14, 2010 at his home in Stilwell, Oklahoma at the age of 93 years, 8 months and 23 days.
Garlin married Imo Briggs June 20, 1936, in Sallisaw, Oklahoma and to this union seven children were born.

His surviving family includes five daughters, Cecelia Greene, of Pryor, Pearl Gaches and husband, Bob, of Christie, Barbara Fallen and husband, Carl, of Tahlequah, Deloris Patterson, of Proctor, Glenna Philpott and husband, Wesley, of Tahlequah; 16 grandchildren, 45 great grandchildren and 35 great-great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held 10:00 a.m. Saturday, July 17, 2010, at Hart Memorial Chapel with Bro. Matthew Wilson and Bro. Audie Vaughan officiating. Interment followed at Stilwell City Cemetery under the direction of Hart Funeral Home of Stilwell.
