Doris Jo (Hall) Reed, daughter of Ertel Ray and Doris Norine (Goode) Hall, was born May 23, 1924 in Wagoner, Oklahoma and passed from this life on June 28, 2015 in Stilwell, Oklahoma at the age of 91 years.
She married Gene Reed on May 23, 1946. They were blessed with a long and happy marriage. Gene and Doris Jo were longtime members of the First Christian Church in Stilwell. Her father E.R. Hall was a minister there for 21 years. Many will remember Doris and Gene helping out at Reed Hardware Store. She was very proud of her family and loved every minute that she was able to spend with them. Her warmth and compassion will be remembered by all who were blessed to have her in their lives.
She was preceded in death by her parents: E. R. and Doris Hall, husband: Gene Reed and brother: Selan Hall.
A loving family survives Doris and includes her daughter: Jogene Marti and husband Richard of Farmington, AR, brother: Ertel Ray Hall, Jr. of Enid, OK, grandchildren: Michelle Calhoun and husband Dwayne of Fayetteville, AR, Bryce Marti of Dallas, TX, Brett Marti and wife Debbie of Springfield, MO, great grandchildren: Ashlee Moses and husband Tim of Sand Springs, OK, Sara Calhoun and Nicholas Calhoun of Fayetteville, Ryleigh and Makenzie Marti of Springfield, MO and many other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held at 1 pm on Wednesday, July 1, 2015 at the First Christian Church, Stilwell, OK with Bro. Gary Reed and Eldon Wilson officiating. Interment followed at Stilwell City Cemetery, Stilwell, OK under the direction of Roberts/Reed-Culver Funeral Home.
