Irene Faye Patterson
December 4, 1922-February 4, 2008
Irene Faye Patterson daughter of F.M. and Ellen Jane (Glaze) Burton was born on December 4, 1922 in North Platte, NE and departed this life to be with our Lord on February 4, 2008 in Tulsa, OK at the age of 85 years and 2 months.
Irene was married to Herb Patterson and to this union 5 children were born; Edwin Paul, Gene, Sam, Mark and Marcia Fay.
She worked as a Medical Secretary for Muskogee Hospital for 16 years.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Stilwell.
Irene also enjoyed knitting, crocheting, quilting, painting and crafting.
Irene was preceded in death by her husband; Herb Patterson on October 7, 2005, her parents; F.M. and Ellen Burton, 1 son: Edwin Paul Patterson, 2 sisters; Lois Lonhart, Janice Hanrehan, 1 brother; Ivan Burton and 1 son in law: Pat Johnson.
She is survived by a very loving family that includes 3 sons; Gene Patterson and wife Rose of Tulsa, OK, Sam Patterson and wife Janet of Sand Springs, OK, Mark Patterson and wife Linda of Colorado Springs, CO, 1 daughter; Marcia Faye Johnson of Moberidge, SD, 8 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, several brothers and sister in laws, other relatives and many, many friends also survive her.
Funeral services were held, Thursday, February 7, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. in the Roberts/Reed-Culver Funeral Chapel with Steve Patterson officiating.
Interment followed in the Stilwell City Cemetery unde the direction of Roberts/Reed-Culver Funeral Home.
