Beverly Joyce Owens

Beverly Joyce Owens, the daughter of Edgar and Ethel Johnson, was born November 30, 1941 in Stilwell, Oklahoma and departed this life on June 19, 2009 at her home in Tulsa, Oklahoma at the age of 67 years, 6 months and 19 days.

Beverly was married to Jackie Lee Owens on August 28, 1960 and to this union 2 daughters were born; Connie and Lanetta. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Beverly was a member of Ridgecrest Baptist Church in Tulsa for many years. She attended Tulsa Academy of Hairstyling and Cosmetologyand was a hairstylist for the past 40 years.She loved spending time with her family and especially enjoyed watching her grandchildren in their sports activities.

She was preceded in death byher parents; Edgar and Ethel Johnson, her husband; Jackie Owens, her son in law; Rick Willis, and her brother in law; Jack Schwemin.

Beverly is survived by a very loving family that includes her daughters; Connie Hilderbrandt and companion, Jeff Drew of Tulsa, Oklahoma and Lanetta Willis of Stilwell, 2 grandchildren; Cody Willis of Stilwell and Kelsi Hilderbrandt of Tulsa, Oklahoma, 2 sisters; Annetta Schwemin of Tulsa, Oklahoma, and Donna Benham and her husband Charles of Stilwell. Several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends also survice her.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, June 23, 2009 in the Roberts/Reed-Culver Funeral Chapel with Rev. Jeff Stone officiating.
Interment followed in the Stilwell City Cemetery under the direction of Roberts/Reed-Culver Fuenral Home.
