Mrs. Amy Walls Munn, 75-year-old former Adair County official, died Monday morning, July 14, 1969 in Muskogee following a long illness.

Mrs. Munn, born April 9, 1894, in Paragould, Arkansas, came to Indian Territory with her parents in 1904 and settled in Stilwell.

She majored in elementary education at Northeastern State College, Tahlequah, and taught for 33 years. She retired in 1953.

In the late 1920s and early 1930s, Mrs. Munn served two terms as Adair County Superintendent and one term as Adair County Treasurer.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Fred E. Munn, in 1939, in Spiro.

She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Muskogee, Chapter No. 106, Order of Eastern Star, Stilwell; White Shrine, and the American Legion Auxiliary.

Survivors include one brother, Charley M. Walls, Stilwell; and two sisters, Mrs. Maude E. Ross and Mary E. Burgess, both of Muskogee.

Services were held at 10 AM today (Thursday) in the Roberts Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Rob Batchelder, First Baptist Church pastor, officiating.

Interment was in the Stilwell City Cemetery.
