Maxine & Robert Lawrence Minor
Stilwell City Cemetery
Maxine Marie Minor, the daughter of Hershal and Ruby (Davis) Vanderheiden, was born June 20, 1931, in Brushy, Oklahoma. She passed from this life on June 16, 2014, at her home in Stilwell, Oklahoma at the age of 82 years, 11 months and 26 days.
Maxine was married to Robert Minor and their union was blessed with five children, Ronnie, Shirley, Lawrence Ray, George and Janie. They made their home in Sacramento, CA for several years and then moved to Reno, Nevada, moving back to Stilwell in 1980.
Maxine was a homemaker and enjoyed her role in caring for her family. Her favorite hobbies included gardening, farming, cooking and traveling.
Those preceding her in death include, her husband, Robert Minor, her parents, Hershel and Ruby Vanderheiden, brother, Dave Rhoades and sister, Paulette Knapp.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her children, Ronnie Weber, of North Augusta, SC, Shirley Houlet and husband, Louie, of Silver Springs, NV, Lawrence Ray Minor, of Stilwell, George Minor and wife, Dee, of Stilwell, Janie Stane and husband, Bill, of Stilwell; brother, LeRoy Vanderheiden; sister, Margie Rheaume, 11 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, one great-great grandchild and a host of nieces, nephews, friends and loved ones.
Graveside services were held 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 18, 2014, at Stilwell City Cemetery with Bro. Don Waldrop officiating. Burial was under the care and direction of Hart Funeral Home of Stilwell.
