Mary Obera Meadows, daughter of Claude Stephenson and Pearl (Welch) Stephenson, was born on November 12, 1920 in Milburn, Oklahoma and went to be with Jesus on Monday, April 29, 2013 in Norman, Oklahoma at the age of 92 years, 5 months and 17 days.

Mary married Otto Meadows and the Lord blessed them with a long life, wonderful family, and a happy marriage. Many in our community will remember Mary as the Sales Manager for Felt’s Shoe Store in Stilwell. She was a Christian woman who loved her family and friends. Mary will be remembered by her sweet smile, favorite sayings, and the way she lived her life for the Lord.

Preceding her in death were her parents: Claude and Pearl Stephenson, First husband: Bert Holland, husband: Otto Meadows, son: Eugene Holland, step son: Dallas Holland, grandson: Lucas Holland, sister: Ella Jean McDaniel, brothers: Olen, Garland and Raymond Stephenson.

Surviving Mary is her daughter: Alice Long and husband John of Norman, OK, son: Don Holland of Stilwell, grandchildren: Greg Long of Portland, OR, Randy Long and wife Jennifer of Tulsa, OK, Allison Mays & husband David of Moore, OK, Dallas Holland and wife Andrea of North Padre Island, TX, Jeremiah Holland and wife Amanda of Stilwell, great grandchildren: Braedon Long of Manassas, VA, Katherine Long, William Long and Colin Long of Tulsa, Jackson Long and Preston Long of Portland, OR, Maryalis Mays of Moore, OK, Isabel Holland and Isaac Holland of North Padre Island, TX, sisters: Joyce Raleigh and husband Earl of Weatherford, OK, Darlene Bradford of Tahlequah, OK, Billie Brown and husband Myron of Yale, OK.

She is also survived by many other relatives and friends.

Funeral services at 2 pm on Thursday, May 2, 2013 at Roberts/Reed-Culver Chapel with Rev. Roy Meadows officiating. Interment followed at Stilwell City Cemetery.
