Carl Wayne McMurtrey son of A. J. and Francis Joann (Bradley) McMurtrey was born March 2, 1955 in Stilwell, Oklahoma and departed this life on December 22, 2014 in Stilwell, Oklahoma at the age of 59 years, 9 months and 20 days.
Carl loved fishing, hunting, spending time with the family and enjoyed going to the casino.
He was preceded in death by his mother; Francis McMurtrey.
Carl is survived by a very loving family that included his daughter; Amy McMurtrey and companion Sam George of Independence, MO, 3 grandchildren; Braden Butkovich, Kaylee George, Skylar George, father A. J. McMurtrey of West Siloam Springs, AR, siblings; Judy Laforce and husband Larry of Dayton, OH, Jackie Williams of Olathe, KS, Rick McMurtrey, Jeanne Foster and husband George all of Gardner, KS, Reba Perry of Stilwell, OK, Roger McMurtrey of McAlester, OK, several aunts, uncles other relatives and many friends also survive him.
Funeral services were held at 1 pm on Monday, December 29, 2014 at Roberts/Reed-Culver Chapel with Tony Bradley, Jimmy Muskrat and Greg Delay officiating. Interment followed at Stilwell City Cemetery.
