Debra Sue (Harland) McMurray was born June 29, 1957 to Elvin Richard and Lovolla Jean (Ritchie) Harland. At the age of 13 months, Debra was placed with her forever parents: Edward Oscar and Thelma Rose (Ritchie) Bruner.
Debbie loved camping, fishing and spending time with her family and friends. She departed this life on February 6, 2020 at her son’s home in Stilwell, with family and friends by her side.
She was preceded in death by her daddy: Edward Bruner, momma: Thelma Bruner, four brothers: Charles Harland, William Withers, Donald Bruner and Dewayne Bruner.
She is survived by her children: Thomas Bryan Newman of Stilwell, Edward Allen Terrell of Perry, Amber Rose (Vaughn) of Stilwell and Lonnie Ray Vaughn Jr. of Mountainburg, Ark.
Debbie is also survived by her sisters Linda Gill of Tulsa, Karen Moran of Kentucky, Elizabeth Withers and Gaye Lynn Withers of Wichita, Kan., and brothers Larry Joe Tilman of Coleman, Texas and Dale Alan Withers of Wichita, Kan. In addition to immediate family, Debbie had countless nieces, nephews, and grandchildren that she loved very much.
She had a soft spot for all animals, especially strays that needed love and a warm home.
Graveside services were held Monday, February 10, 2020 at Stilwell City Cemetery with Jim Brunk officiating. Interment followed under the direction of Roberts/Reed-Culver Funeral Home, Stilwell.
