J.T. Lowe, son of Earl and Bertie Belle Peters Lowe was born June 6, 1928 in Stilwell, Oklahoma and departed this life on October 5, 2014 in Stilwell, Oklahoma at the age of 86 years, 3 months and 29 days.
J.T. was a very loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He was baptized in the Church of Christ. He was a carpenter by trade but held other jobs as well including restaurant owner and school bus driver. J.T. was an avid Stilwell Indians fan. He loved all the kids but really enjoyed watching the grandkids playing baseball and football.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Buck and Sam Lowe, sisters Golda Eagleton, Pansy Atkinson and Sue Dotson.
J.T. is survived by a very loving family that includes his wife of over 64 years, Wilma Jean Lowe of the home, son Tim Lowe and wife Norma, daughter Cathy Swift and husband Bill all of Stilwell, OK, 5 grandchildren Shawn Swift and wife Kayla of Siloam Springs, AR, Melannie Fourkiller and husband Brandon, Stephannie Snodgrass and husband Wesley, Jennifer Swift and Jimmy Daugherty all of Stilwell, OK, great grandchildren Mercedes and Sydnee Swift of Siloam Springs, AR, Tyler, Tyson, Trent Foukiller, A.J. Smith, William and John Snodgrass, Kristy Daughtery all of Stilwell, OK. 2 sisters Thelma Davidson and husband Roy of Louisberg, KS, Billie Adair and husband Coy of Milfay, OK, several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends also survive him.
Funeral services were held, Thursday, October 9, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. in the RobertsReedCulver Funeral Chapel with Joe Smith and Larry Hatfield officiating.
Interment followed in the Stilwell City Cemetery under the direction of RobertsReedCulver Funeral Home.
