Benny Grigsby
August 7, 1934-July 9, 2008
Benny Grigsby, the son of Henry and Laura (Knight) Grigsby, was born August 7, 1934 in Stilwell, Oklahoma and departed this life on July 9, 2008 in Tulsa, Oklahoma at the age of 73 years 11 months and 2 days.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his loving wife; Wynona Grigsby, three sisters; Alma Ruth Spade, Anna Lois Kidd, and Henrietta Vaughn.
He served his country proudly in the United States Army. He worked as a mechanic for many years.
He is survived by a loving family that includes 2 sons; Benny Grigsby Jr., and John Grigsby, both of Stilwell, OK., 3 sisters; Wilma Smallen, Mary Johnson, both of Tulsa, OK., Doris Christie and husband Tom of Peggs, OK., several nieces, nephews, other relative and many friends also survive him.
Funeral services were held Monday, July 14, 2008 at 2:00 pm in the Roberts/Reed-Culver Funeral Chapel with Bishop Bell officiating.
Interment followed in the Stilwell City Cemetery under the direction of Roberts/Reed-Culver Funeral Home.
