Joe T. Glass, born at Claremore Indian Hospital on April 4, 1937 to Susie Seabolt and Lynch Glass, departed from this life on February 2, 2018 in Stilwell at the age of 80.
Joe graduated from Sequoyah Indian School in 1959. He went to work and then retired from Whirlpool in Ft Smith, Arkansas in 1999. Joe came to know the Lord and was saved and baptized by Sam Hider in 1948. He loved reading his bible and sharing the gospel and his testimony with those around him. He truly loved his family and was devoted to them; spending as much time as he could with each and every one of them.
Joe was an avid lover of the outdoors. He was often found tinkering with one of his many “projects” around his home; where when not outside he was found in his favorite chair watching a sci-fi movie or golf since he loved to keep up with his favorites.
Joe was preceded in death by his parents and stepfather, Willie Vann, his children, Donna Kay Springwater and Tony Glass, brother, James “Jimmy” Proctor Jr, sister, Mary Bell Sevenstar, and mother of his children; Peggy Glass.
Left to celebrate his memory are his sons, Waylon Glass and his wife Lisa, Mike Feathers, grandchildren Stacy, Samantha and Skylar Glass, Stephanie Wisdom and husband Drew, great-grandchildren Amiah and Charlee Wisdom. siblings Viola Fourkiller, Shirley Sevenstar and Lynch Glass Jr, sister-in-law Betty Proctor, several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many, many friends also survive him.
Funeral services were held Thursday, February 8, 2018 at Roberts/Reed-Culver Chapel, Stilwell with Bro. Donnie Sanders and Rev. Charlie Shell Jr. officiating.
Interment
followed at Stilwell City Cemetery.
