James Pete Foster, 58, was born on November 2, 1956 in Tahlequah, Oklahoma to James and Martha (Wolfe) Foster, he left this life to be with his Lord in Heaven on August 23, 2015 in his home singing his favorite church songs.

Pete was a member of Echota Baptist Church. He was secretary of the Brotherhood at Echota. Pete loved to take his guitar and sing at church. He loved listening to the youth sing, it would bring a smile to his face and his favorite was orphan child. Pete married Shari Trammell on October 24, 2003 after being together since 1982. Pete worked at Stilwell Foods now Schwans for over 35 years. He was a welder, maintenance worker and worked in the broiler room upon retirement due to health issues.

Pete also helped out at Trammell Produce. His story was that he and Mildred would pick tomatoes for 8 hours in one day. He loved visiting with the customers and enjoyed watching their children grow up. He even got good at making good freezer jam.

Pete loved to go fishing when he could with his buddy Mike even if it meant catching an occasional turtle or two. He loved the outdoors whether it was hunting, working his cattle or playing with his dogs; Luke and Opie who were part of the family.

Pete loved life, loved to sing for the Lord and spend time with his family. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
