Ruby Naomi Essary
September 25, 1922 - July 7, 2009

Ruby Naomi Essary, daughter of William M. and Stella (Harris) Patterson, was born on September 25, 1922 in Stilwell, Oklahoma and was taken home to be with our Lord on Tuesday, July 7, 2009 at the age of 86 years, 9 months and 12 days.

Ruby and Dow Essary were joined in Holy Matrimony on December 17, 1941 and to this union were born 3 sons: Bill, Jimmy Dale and James.
Ruby was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, faithful friend and devout woman of faith.
She selflessly gave to others and rarely sought anything for her own benefit. She loved many things in this life, such as tending her garden and flowers, working the farm with her husband Dow, cooking for all who entered her home, quilting and sewing, attending church and spending time with her family whom she loved deeply.
Ruby was a member of the Oak Grove Full Gospel Church. She was devoted to her Lord and Savior above all, and His Love that she carried enabled her to touch the lives of all that knew her in a profound and meaningful way.
She will be greatly missed by all, but we will cherish her in our hearts and long for the day we shall see her again at Heaven’s gate.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband: Dow Essary, one Son: Bill Essary, one Sister: Pauline Poteet and one Half Sister: Shirley Patterson.

She is survived by two Sons: Jimmy Dale Essary and wife Rose, James Edward Essary and wife Frances all of Stilwell, OK, her Grandchildren: Teresa Walch and husband Brian of Bella Vista, AR, Danny Essary and wife Susan of Kilgore, TX, Gary Essary and wife Nancy of Gladewater, TX, Phillip Essary and wife Charlene of Stilwell, Dallas Essary and wife Beth of Stilwell, Lorri Essary of Longview, TX, her 14 Great Grandchildren, her Half Sister: Eleanor Johnson of Tulsa, her Daughter-in-Law: Joanne Essary of Kilgore, TX, and many other relatives and friends.

Services were held Friday, July 10, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. in the Roberts/Reed-Culver Funeral Chapel with Bro. Udell Denny and Bro. Glenn Hopkins officiating. Interment followed at Stilwell City Cemetery under the direction of Roberts/Reed-Culver Funeral Home.
