Hubert Lee Duncan, son of Walter, Sr. and Lena Mae (Eli) Duncan was born on September 13, 1943, in Tahlequah, Oklahoma and passed from this life to be with his Lord and Savior on November 9, 2015, in Stilwell, Oklahoma at the age of 73 years, 1 month and 27 days.
He was married to Sharon Miller on June 22, 1971 and to this union one child, Deanna, was born. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He loved spending time with his family and especially with his grandchildren.
He worked for Cherokee Nation Upholstery, the Tire Shop and numerous other places until his back prevented him from working.
He liked going to car shows and had an old Chevy that he entered in the shows for several years. He loved to play music and sing and enjoyed going to gospel singings. Lately, he went to the Stilwell Community Building every day to spend time there with his family and friends. He spent many happy days there.
Hubert loved his Lord and Savior and talked to and praised Him throughout each day. He will be greatly missed.
Hubert was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Lena Mae Duncan; two brothers, Roy Duncan and Sam Duncan; one sister, Darlene Livers and two infant brothers.
He is survived by his wife, Sharon, of the home; his daughter, Deanna and husband, Ronnie Hale, of Stilwell; grandchildren, Kilah Duncan, of Heber Springs, AR, Kassidy Hale, Kalen Hale and Kal-El Hale, all of Stilwell; one son, Andrew Sanders, of Stilwell; sister, Lucinda Duck; brothers, Walter Duncan, Jr., Dale Duncan and Clyde Duncan, all of Stilwell. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and many
friends.
Funeral services were held 10:00 a.m. Friday, November 13, 2015 at Hart Memorial Chapel with Rev. Leo Duncan officiating. Interment followed at Stilwell City Cemetery under the direction of Hart Funeral Home of Stilwell. Online guest book and obituaries available at:www.hartfuneralhome.net
