William Taylor Christie
Stilwell City Cemetery
William Taylor Christie, son of Jess Christie and Florence Melvina (York) Christie, was born on July 4, 1944 in Tahlequah, Oklahoma and departed this life to be with his Lord on Thursday, November 14, 2013 in Tulsa, Oklahoma at the age of 69 years, 4 months and 10 days.
William was a forklift driver for Stilwell Foods for many years. He enjoyed spending time in the outdoors hunting, fishing and camping. He liked to watch rooster fights. William loved traveling with his family, spending time with grandchildren, family members and telling stories. He accepted Jesus as his savior on April 23, 2010.
He was preceded in death by his parents: Jess and Florence Christie, his wife: Lyndia, brothers: Robert and Jess Christie, sisters: Annie Christie and LaVonna Farrell.
William is survived by a loving family that includes his daughters: Rebecca Flute of Sallisaw, OK, Florence Wolfe of Marble City, OK, son: Donald Christie of Bunch, OK, brothers: Jack Christie, Lonnie and wife Tammie Christie, Rick Christie, sisters: Mary Thompson and Vicki Cox and husband Reggy, all of Stilwell, 7 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Funeral services at 1 pm on Monday, November 18, 2013 at Roberts/Reed-Culver Chapel with Rev. John Flute and Missy Flute officiating. Interment followed at Stilwell City Cemetery, Stilwell, OK.
