Mildred Sue Caviness, daughter of Calvin Sr. and Lilian (Walker) McClain was born August 21, 1944 in Tuskahoma, Ok and departed this life to be with our Lord on July 29, 2011 in Tulsa, Ok at the age of 66 years, 11 months and 8 days.
Millie worked as a hairdresser for many years. She also worked as a secretary in the medical field. She enjoyed working in her flower beds and going grocery shopping. She had a great love for animals especially her dog “Gus”. She loved cooking big meals for her family at holiday time. Millie also enjoyed the fun times she had visiting, sewing and making quilts with the local ladies in their sewing group.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and one sister; Melba Dighton.
Millie leaves behind to cherish her memory a very loving family that includes her husband of over 17 years; Ronnie Caviness of the home in Stilwell, OK, sons; Jim Standifer of Midwest City, OK, Mike Caviness and wife Pat of Westville, OK, daughter; Kelli Littlejohn and husband Ron of Stilwell, OK, 5 grandchildren, 2 brothers; Calvin McClain Jr and wife Taccoa of Talihina, OK, Harold Wayne McClain and wife Roxanne of Poteau, OK, 3 sisters; Dee Snow of Midwest City, OK, Margaret Ann Kirkpatrick of Stockton, CA, Ida Lahiff and husband Art of Fiddletown, CA. 2 very special friends who were like her children; Jim and Melissa Morsches and their children. Several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends also survive her.
Graveside services were held at 10 am on Monday, August 1, 2011 at Stilwell City Cemetery with Larry Hatfield officiating.
