Martha Louise (York) Caughman

Martha Louise Caughman the daughter of Lincoln and Louise (Cox) York was born January 12, 1953, in Joplin, Missouri and departed this life on November 27, 2020, in Stilwell, Oklahoma at the age of 67 years, 10 months and 15 days.

Martha loved life and loved her family. She worked for Northeastern State University for over 38 years. She was very proud of her family, and she loved watching her children and in recent years her grandchildren play sports. She loved being at football games in the Fall, basketball in the Winter and baseball and softball through the Spring and Summer. She wasn't afraid to yell at the refs at any time. Getting together with her family meant a lot to her. She loved her dogs, flowers, watching birds in the winter and going shopping. Martha touched many lives over the years and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

She is survived by a loving family which includes her husband Carney Caughman Jr. of the home; her children Carney Caughman and wife Syrae of Stilwell and Leslie Cochran and husband Jeremy of Tahlequah; eight grandchildren Tyson and Taytem Cochran, Nathan Caughman, Arria Wildcat, Nathan Wildcat, Micah Cochran, Lacy Crittenden, Wes Crittenden and one great-granddaughter Lilly Workman; her sisters Michele Orman and husband Randy of Wagoner and Melanie Harp and husband Dwayne of Coweta. Several nieces, nephews, friends and other relatives also survive her.

Public viewing was held at the Hart Funeral Home in Stilwell on December 1, 2020 with Graveside Services held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, December 2, 2020 at the Stilwell City Cemetery.
