Lacey Jo Burns
February 12, 1994-April 2008
Lacey Jo Burns was born on February 12, 1994, in Tahlequah, Oklahoma to Leisa Jo Simmons and Blakely Allen Burns.
Lacey was a member of Bunch Baptist Church. She was an 8th Grader at Stilwell Middle School and a member of the girls basketball, softball and track teams. Lacey was a member of the select softball team, "Crushers" and enjoyed all outdoor activities. Lacey had a passion for shopping with her Mom, bestie Jacie and her Maw-Maw.
She was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, Charles Burns, paternal great grandmother, Maxine Orr, maternal great grandparents, Betty Jo Leatherwood, Henry and Dona Green.
Lacey is survived by her parents; John and Leisa Simmons, brothers; Blane Burns and Jarret Simmons of the home in Westville, Oklahoma.
She also leaves behind, grandparents: Mary Jo and Elwin Green of Cookson, Oklahoma, Uncle Bret, Aunt Beth, Cousins Caisen and Colt Green of Cookson, Oklahoma.
Lacey is also survived by her father; Blake Burns of Stilwell, Oklahoma as well as special friends, Rick, Callie and Jacie Doherty of Stilwell, along with a host of other aunts, uncles, cousins and team mates.
Lacey will be missed more than words will ever say. She has touched the lives of not just this family but all those in this town, county and state. She was a beautiful person inside and out. Lacey will be missed forever!
Funeral services were held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, April 19, 2008, at First Baptist Church with Bro. Steve Patterson officiating.
Interment followed at Stilwell City Cemetery under the direction of Hart Funeral Home.
