Devoe Brown, daughter of Milam Moton and Emma Catcher, was born on September 15, 1923 in Pawhuska, Oklahoma and departed this life on Thursday, January 1, 2015 in Stilwell, Oklahoma at the age of 91 years.
Devoe helped support he family as a line worker for Stilwell Foods. She loved spending time with family. She always liked visiting with friends and loved ones. Devoe was a loving and caring woman, who will be deeply missed.
She was preceded in death by her parents, sister: Marie and her husband: George Brown.
She is survived by a very loving family that includes her children: Bill M. Brown and wife Virginia, Elwood Brown and wife Louella, Retha Jean Fox and husband John, all of Stilwell, OK, grandchildren: Bill Brown, Jr. and wife Joletta of Sapulpa, OK, Laura Vizueth and husband Alvaro of Baron, OK, James Brown and wife Amanda, George Brown and wife Dodie, Artie Brown and wife Kristina, Brenda Madden and husband Mike, all of Stilwell, 20 great grandchildren, several great great grandchildren and special niece: Joann Kirkaldie.
Many other relatives and friends also survive her.
Graveside services were held at 10 am on Saturday, January 3, 2015 at Stilwell City Cemetery, Stilwell, OK with Bro. Max Ford officiating. Interment followed under the direction of Roberts Reed-Culver Funeral Home.
