Black Rites Held July 28
George Elmer Black Jr, a U.S. Marine Corps veteran, died Thursday, July 26 at Memorial Hospital, Stilwell. He was 56 years old.

Black, born Feb. 6, 1928, in Broken Arrow, is survived by: his wife, Mrs. Jewell Black of the home on Route 5 Stilwell; four sons, Lyndon Black, Weatherford, Paul Black, Stillwater, Neal Black, Muskogee, and Olaf Black, Stilwell; and two daughters, Brenda Black, Stilwell, and Frieda Vann, Jay.

Services were held Saturday morning in the Roberts Funeral Chapel with Brother Welcome Nix officiating. Interment was in the Stilwell City Cemetery.
