Wilma Jean (Johnson) Billings, the daughter of Lowell Raymond Johnson and Jessie C. (Kennon) Johnson, was born June 1, 1941, in Nelsonville, Arkansas. Surrounded by a loving family, she passed from this life to be with the Lord on February 22, 2014, at her home in Stilwell, Oklahoma, at the age of 72 years, 8 months and 21 days.
Wilma graduated from Cloverbend High School in Portia, Arkansas and moved to Oklahoma in 1962. She later attended Northeastern State University.
Wilma worked for Stilwell Public Schools in the cafeteria for 30 years and served as the manager for 20 years until her retirement. She was employed as a Walmart sales associate for 12 years and worked as a custodian for Stilwell Foods.
Wilma was a friendly, out-going person who had a great love for her family. Her hobbies included reading, sewing, puzzles, gardening, and most of all, spending time with her family and friends. Wilma was of the Baptist faith.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Jessie Johnson, nephew, Terry Park and brother-in-law, Johnny Park.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory a loving family which includes, her children, Belinda Gail Huling and husband, Steve, of Stilwell, James Raymond Billings and wife, Uyvonna, of Siloam Springs, AR, Billy Joe Billings, of Dover, AR, Brooks Allen Billings and wife, Karen, of Stilwell; sister, Loretta Park, of Portia, AR; grandchildren, James Raymond Billings, Jr. and wife, Debbie, Nathenael Lee Billings, Steven L. Huling, Jr., Patrick J. Huling, Lasha Miller and husband, Mark, and Brianna Kelley, great grandchildren, Dayton and Marrisa. Many other relatives and friends also survive her.
Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, February 26, 2014, at Hart Memorial Chapel with Bro. Jim Sanders and Bro. Jimmy Jones officiating. Interment will follow at Stilwell City Cemetery under the care and direction of Hart Funeral Home of Stilwell.
