Lloyd Leslie Abbott was born on November 12, 1949 in Stilwell, Oklahoma. He was the third child born to Troy Franklin Abbott and Christine “Dolly” (Ritter) Abbott–Tharp. He passed from this life on Wednesday, May 15, 2013 in Stilwell, Oklahoma at the age of 63 years, 6 months and 3 days.
Lloyd grew up in Stilwell and enlisted in the United States Air Force after graduation from High School in 1968. He served both stateside and abroad and was discharged in June of 1974. Lloyd lived in several locations in Oklahoma and Arkansas during his adult years. He put his hand to several trades and was adept at learning new skills. While in Little Rock, he worked as a craftsman for Lens Crafters. Lloyd moved back to Stilwell in 2006 and he worked for Schwan’s and Facet. He resided in the family home until his passing.
Lloyd had many friends and will be fondly remembered by all who knew him.
Preceding him in death were his parents: Troy Abbott and Dolly Abbott-Tharp and step-father: Charles Tharp.
He is survived by his five children: Rena Loe and husband Michael of West Covina, CA, Lloyd Abbott, Jr. and wife Jamie of Killeen, TX, Amanda Lord and husband William of Grove, OK, Sean Abbott of Tahlequah, OK, Robert Abbott and wife Brittany of Bentonville, AR, brother: Michael Abbott and wife Elaine of Ft. Worth, TX, sister: Nancy Ganter and husband Lynn of Barren Springs, VA, step-brothers: Bob, Grady and Rick Ritter, all of Stilwell, David Tharp of Tahlequah, step-sisters: Connie Taylor of Seminole, OK, Mary Lou Capps and Lynda Felts of Tahlequah and step-mother: Bettye Abbott of Stilwell.
He is also survived by 14 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, an uncle, 4 aunts, numerous cousins and many friends.
Memorial services were held at 10 am on Monday, May 20, 2013 at First Christian Church, Stilwell, OK with Bro. Eldon Wilson and Bro. Michael Abbott officiating.

Inturnment followed at Stilwell City Cemetery.
