Frances Maxine Wolf, daughter of Oliver Boyd and Pearl Ruth (Buster) Gaches, was born on October 11, 1931 in Stroud, Oklahoma and departed this life on Saturday, April 4, 2015 in Muskogee, Oklahoma at 83 years of age.
Maxine, as she was known, grew up in a hard working, singing family. They picked cotton and raised farm crops, singing as they worked. Neighbors could hear their harmonies of traditional gospel songs. In those days, they attended service at Spade Mountain Free Holiness Church. In April of 1950 she married the Love of her life Arlie Joe Wolf. April 24th would have been their 65th anniversary. She enjoyed spending time with her family, cooking big meals and spoiling her grandchildren. She loved the Lord and attended church faithfully while her health permitted. She will be greatly missed by those that loved her.
She was preceded in death by her parents: Oliver and Pearl Gaches, sisters: Kathaleen Cowan, Ruby Vaughn, son: Roger Dale Wolf, grandson: Michael Wolf and great granddaughter: Elise Neff.
Maxine is survived by her husband: Arlie Joe Wolf, of the home near Stilwell, OK, children: Joe Carl Wolf and wife Dora, Danny Wolf and wife Sherry, Linda Sellers and husband Don, Tony Wolf and wife Chris, all of Stilwell, Debbie Evans and husband Doyle of Blanchard, OK, Timothy Wolf of Denver, CO, siblings: Bob Gaches, Farris Gaches, Joyce Wolf, Edna Anderson, all of Stilwell, 25 grandchildren, 67 great grandchildren, 7 great-great grandchildren and a multitude of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held at 2 pm on Wednesday, April 8, 2015 at Roberts Reed-Culver Chapel with Bro. Terry Mays officiating. Interment followed at Spade Mountain Cemetery, Stilwell, OK.

Arlie Joe Wolf, son of Hummingbird and Allie (Harlan) Wolf, was born on March 11, 1931 in Stilwell, Oklahoma and departed this life to be with our Lord on Friday, October 2, 2020 in Tahlequah, Oklahoma at the age of 89 years and 7 months.Arlie Joe married Maxine Gaches, “the love of his life” on April 24, 1950.
As a young man, he picked beans, cotton, broom corn and strawberries. Later he became a ranch hand and worked cattle. Arlie Joe moved to Chicago where he worked making barber chairs. He went to work at Mundelein College in Northern Chicago as a maintenance man until he retired.
Upon retirement, Arlie Joe moved his family back to Stilwell.
In 1994, he gave his heart to the Lord and was baptized. Over the years, he attended different churches, but recently he had attended the New Testament Church faithfully until his passing. Arlie Joe loved the Lord with all of his heart. He was always saying that he was ready to go to Heaven.
He loved playing with his grandkids, deer hunting and picking strawberries.
He was a very loving husband to his wife of 65 years.
Arlie Joe was preceded in death by his parents: Hummingbird and Allie Wolf, his wife: Maxine Wolf, brothers: Wayne, Mitchell, Edward, Gaylord and Louie Wolf, sisters: Peggy Dudley and Betty Wallace, son: Roger Wolf, grandson: Michael Wolf, great granddaughters: Ava Kendall and Elise Neff.
He is survived by a very loving family that includes his children: Joe Wolf and fiancé Rhonda Gann of Stilwell, OK, Danny Wolf of Stilwell, Debbie Evans and husband Doyle of Blanchard, OK, Linda Sellers and husband Don of Stilwell, Tony Wolf and wife Lucrissia of Stilwell and Tim Wolf of OKC, OK, brother: Harlan Wolf and wife Joyce of Stilwell, sisters: Wanda Whitley of Tahlequah, OK, Leta Mae Jackson of Stilwell, 27 grandchildren, 56 great grandchildren, 19 great-great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Graveside service was held Wednesday, October 28, 2020 at Spade Mountain Cemetery, Stilwell, OK.
