Funeral services for Pauline Moore Ruth, 89, of Stilwell, were held Monday, April 1, 1996 at Hart Memorial Chapel with Rev. Jim Varnell officiating. Burial will be in the Spade Mountain Cemetery under the direction of Hart Funeral Home of Stilwell.
She was born on February 9, 1907, in Selma, California to Raleigh and Edith H. (McAlexander) Moore. She died Friday, March 29, 1996 at the Stilwell Nursing Home.
She was a pharmacist in Gila Bend, Arizona and had later worked as a bookkeeper for Malloy Butane in Stilwell. She was married to W. O. (Butch) Ruth who preceded her in death in 1961. She and her husband operated the Lazy R Country Store near Stilwell. Pauline had also worked for several years for the Dr. Burdge Green family. She was baptized into the Christian Church at a young age. Pauline donated the land for the Highway 51 West Fire Dept. and was a great supporter of the fire department.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
She is survived by: one sister, Wilda Griffin; her nephews, Bill and Bob Griffin; a niece, Betty Crumley, all of California; several grand nieces and nephews; many neighbors and friends, including her special friend, Allene Watkins, of Stilwell.
