Lorena Mae Padgett, daughter of Joseph and Jessie L. (Hightower) Ketcher, was born March 11, 1923 in Stilwell, Oklahoma and departed this life on February 16, 2008 in Tulsa, Oklahoma at the age of 84 years, 11 months and 5 days.
She worked as a retail clerk for many years, but her favorite job was being a foster granny at Maryetta School for several years. Lorena was also of the Holiness faith for over 60 years.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband; Jimmie Padgett, 1 son; Jimmie Ray Padgett, 1 brother; Ray Ketcher, 1 sister; Elsie Dudley, 1 son-in-law; Bobby Ruckman and 1 brother-in-law; Harold Gene Dudley.
Lorene is survived by a very loving family that includes her 2 daughters; Regina Ruckman of Bunch, OK, Donna Hill and husband Leon of Oklahoma City, OK., 4 grandchildren, Joleta Cone and husband Glen, Deina Ruckman all of Bunch, OK., Kyle Hill of Oklahoma City, OK., Susan Hill of Norman, OK., 6 great grandchildren; Myranda and Bobby Joe Risley, Landon Vann, Haleigh and Trey Cone and Eli Hill, 1 brother; Billy Joe Ketcher and wife Jeannie of Choctaw, OK., 1 step-brother; John Pettit and wife Louise of Louisiana, 1 sister-in-law; Betty Ketcher of Sonora, CA., several other relatives and many, many friends also survive her.
Funeral services were held, Wednesday, February 20, 2008 in the Roberts/Reed-Culver Funeral Chapel with Bro. Larry Udell Denny officiating.
Interment followed in the Spade Mountain Cemetery under the direction of Roberts/Reed-Culver Funeral Home.
