Funeral services for Ida Victoria (Clinton) O'Neal, 92 of Stilwell, were held Tuesday, July 30, at Spade Mountain Church with Bro. Steven Hunter and Brother Olin Vaughn officiating. Burial was in the Spade Mountain Cemetery under the direction of Hart Funeral Home at Stilwell.
She was born on October 24, 1903, in St. Paul, Arkansas to James W. Clinton and Sarah Tillery Clinton and passed away July 28 in her home in Stilwell.
She lived all her life but the first three years in Adair County. She died at her home in Stilwell. She was a retired canning factory worker. She was saved under an elm tree in Christie, Oklahoma in 1917 under the ministry of Brother Youngblood. She was saved, sanctified, and filled with the Holy Ghost within a week's time. She was a faithful member of Spade Mountain Church since 1921.
She was married to Jesse James O'Neal on December 3, 1917 in Stilwell. He preceded her in death on July 15, 1981. She was also preceded in death by her parents; three sons, Frank, George Edward, and Jesse James O'Neal, Jr.; one daughter, Polly Jane O'Neal; four brothers, one sister, three granddaughters, and two great-grandsons.
She is survived by one son, Walter O'Neal of Arkansas City, Kansas; four daughters, Ruby Deason, Della Mae Deason, Florene Gass, and Maxine Blackman, all of Stilwell, 35 grandchildren, 77 great-grandchildren, and 27 great-great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Clifton Doss, Pat Doherty, Winfred King, Paul Vaughn, Kindle Baggs, and Don Perry.
