George Pettit son of John and Pearl Mae (Pack) Pettit was born May 30, 1925 in Bunch, OK. and departed this life on June 25, 2019 in Colcord, OK. at the age of 94 years and 25 days.

George worked in the farming industry to provide for his family. He enjoyed spending time with his family as well as other hobbies to includes; fishing.
 

He was preceded in death by his parents; John and Pearl Pettit, sisters; Stella Howard and Lillie Mae McDonald, son; Michael Pettit and daughter; Barbara Pettit.
 

George is survived by a very loving family that includes his brothers; John Edwards and wife Christine of Claremore, OK., Mack Brewer and wife Sharon of Sallisaw, OK., daughters; Ida Sue Stopp of Fayetteville, AR., Pearl Breymer of Sallisaw, OK, Janet Dirtceller of Blythe, CA. Sons; Raymond Pettit of Inola, OK., Mike Anderson of Pryor, OK., several nephews, nieces, other relatives and many friends also survive him.
 

Graveside services were held, Monday, July 1, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. in the Flute Springs Cemetery.

Interment followed under the direction of Roberts/Reed- Culver Funeral Home.
