The body of Levi Manus, who was killed in action on the Philippine Islands, Feb. 2, 1945, was returned to Westville and funeral service was conducted Monday at the Roberts Funeral Home with John Watt, Cherokee minister, officiating, assisted by Rev. Jimmy Smith, Baptist pastor. Reburial was in the cemetery at Chewey, his home, with military honors.

Manus was born June 19, 1924 and had lived in this community his entire life. The body was accompanied to Westville by Sgt. L.L. Hicks.
