Funeral services for Katie Jones Soap, 84, will be held Thursday, February 20, at 2:00 p.m. at Salem Baptist Church with Rev. Lawrence Eagle and Rev. Wayne Bunch officiating.
 
Burial will be in the Salem Cemetery under the direction of Hart Funeral Home of Stilwell.
She was born on March 9, 1912, in Adair County to Johnson Jones and Mary Cochran Jones, and passed from this life on February 18, 1997, in Stilwell, Oklahoma at the age of 84 years, 11 months, and 9 days.
She was a homemaker and a member of Salem Baptist Church. She was married to William Soap who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her parents and a son, Charley Samms.
She is survived by 3 sons, Wilkie, Nick, and Andrew Soap, all of Stilwell, 1 daughter, Leona Black and her husband, Wendel, of Stilwell, 3 granddaughters, Kammy and Cheryl Soap and Shelly Black, all of Stilwell, 1 grandson, Thomas Scraper of Stilwell, 2 great grandchildren, Sophie Black and Lakoda Scraper, an adopted grandson, Bob Eagle, and 1 sister, Annie Littledeer of Stilwell.
Pallbearers were; Amose Teehee, Monroe Galcatcher, Wallace Acorn, Rob Eagle, Roy Lee Teehee and Henry Lee Sawney. Flower girls were her Granddaughters. Music; "Amazing Grace", "Precious Memories" and "What a day that will be" by; Salem Baptist Church singers.
