Michael Wayne Shell Sr, known to many as "Jersey" was the son of Sam Shell and Anna Belle Teehee Duck and was born January 23, 1967 in Stilwell, OK and departed this life on July 31, 2012 in Stilwell, OK at the age of 45 years, 6 months and 8 days.
He was a very loving guy who loved to make all his friends and family laugh. He enjoyed spending time with his family especially his children. He worked for Simmons Industries for many years while his health permitted.
Michael was preceded in death by his father; Sam Shell, brother; Cameron Duck, his maternal and paternal grandparents.
He is survived by a very loving family that includes his mother; Anna Belle Duck, 5 children; Michael Wayne Shell Jr., and wife Sheila, Shawna Vann, Mack Wayne Shell, Brianna Marie Shell and Michaela Dawn Shell , 2 grandchildren; McKenzie Dawn Shell and Bradley Wayne Shell, 2 brothers; Lucas Shell and wife Kathy, Calvin Duck and wife Marissa all of Stilwell, OK, 6 sisters; Laura Rust and husband Gary of Rose, OK, Erma Shell of Stilwell, OK, Norma Shell of Okmulgee, OK, Dorothy Shell and companion Mark Bunch, Peggy Shell and husband James, Vina Pritchett and husband Rufus all of Stilwell, OK. Several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends also survive him.
Jersey we love you and will miss you.
Funeral services were held at 10 am on Monday, August 6, 2012 at Roberts/Reed-Culver Chapel with Bro. Gary Flynn and Bro. Chuck Glass officiating.
Interment followed at Salem Cemetery.
