Pauline Imogene Sawney, daughter of Thomas and Martha (Bigby) Long was born August 24, 1929 in Stilwell, Oklahoma and departed this life to be with our Lord on January 12, 2012 in Stilwell, Oklahoma at the age of 82 years, 4 months and 19 days.
She was a homemaker who enjoyed the duties of being a very loving wife, mother and grandmother to her family. She enjoyed flowers fishing and doing anything outside. One of her greatest joys was spending time with her family.
Pauline was preceded in death by her parents, her husband; John Henry Sawney, 2 sons; Johnnie Sawney and Roger Sawney, 1 daughter; Betty Jo Scott, 2 grandsons; Billy Wayne Sawney and Randy Wayne Scott, 1 great grandson; Thomas Paul Hendrix and 8 siblings.
She is survived by a very loving family that includes 7 children; Frankie Bartlett and husband John of Huntsville, AR, Rickie Gene Sawney and wife Denise of Mesquite, TX, Billy George Sawney and wife Nina of Huntsville, AR, Scott Sawney and wife Tami of Stilwell, OK, Martha Hendrix and husband Darrell of Stilwell, OK, Brenda Galbavy and husband Dan of Lewisville, TX, Tammie Prince and husband Hayward of Stilwell, OK. 21 grandchildren, 45 great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends also survive her.
Funeral services were held, Tuesday, January 17, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. in the Roberts/Reed-Culver Funeral Chapel with Pastor Dearl Wilson officiating.
Interment followed in the Salem Cemetery under the direction of Roberts/Reed-Culver Funeral Home.
