Emma Lena Nakedhead, daughter of Riley and Linda Bell (Lowrey) Starr was born February 15, 1928 in Stilwell, Ok and departed this life to be with our Lord on July 7, 2012 in Stilwell, Ok at the age of 84 years, 4 months and 20 days.
Emma Lena received the Lord Jesus Christ as her Savior on June 20, 1971 at Central Baptist Church in Stilwell. After a time she moved her membership to Salem Baptist Church where she served until December 10, 2000. She then joined Emmanuel Baptist and served as a faithful servant to his people and as a deaconess until she became ill. She continued to praise God for his goodness throughout her illness. She loved spending time with her family especially her grandkids. She liked playing ball with them and hunting crawdads.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband; Rufus Nakedhead, 1 daughter; Patricia Taylor, brothers; Lynch, Charley Joe and George Cochran, sisters; Hattie L. Livers, Mae M. Starr and Norene Watie, granddaughter; Loretta Soap.
Emma Lena is survived by a very loving family that includes her children; Eileen Tidwell and husband Bob, Samuel Nakedhead and wife Wanda, Kendall Nakedhead, Sean Nakedhead and wife Patricia all of Stilwell, Ok, Mary Vaughn of Bentonville, AR, Kathryn Taylor and husband Joe of Stilwell, Ok, Vicki Allison and husband Joe Howard of Westville, OK, 19 grandchildren; Karen Merrie and husband Doug, Cindy Soap and husband Phillip, Christel Landers and husband Justin, Marti Lemke and husband Kyle, Kelli Nakedhead, Renetta Wilson, Josh Nakedhead, Chance Nakedhead and wife Tammie, Jodie Nakedhead, Mark Nakedhead, Shawnna Nakedhead, Jamie Nakedhead, Melissa Arvelo, Jeanna Nakedhead, Beth Nakedhead, Lindsey Smith and husband Brent, Talore Fetters, Erica Pritchett and Bret Pritchett, 1 brother; Elmer Starr of Shafter, CA, sisters; Lorene Sellers of Stilwell, Ok and Vera Higgins of Collinsville, Ok. Several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends also survive her.
Funeral services at 10 am on Wednesday, July 11, 2012 at Salem Church with Bro. Floyd Kester, Jr. officiating.
Interment followed at Salem Cemetery.
