Kenneth Wayne Green, son of Woodrow and Oma (Watkins) Green, was born April 18, 1938 in Adair County, Oklahoma and departed this life to be with his Lord on November 17, 2006, in Tulsa, Oklahoma at the age of 68 years, 7 months and 2 days.
Wayne married Harlene Kirk May 9, 1955, and to this union three children were born: Mike, Teressa and Cynthia.
Wayne's parents, Woodrow and Oma Green, preceded him in death.
He is survived by a very loving family that includes his wife of over 50 years, Harlene Green; 1 son: Michael Green and wife Celia and their children: LaNetta Liles and husband Anthony, Michele Roye and husband Jack, and Elisabeth Fuson and husband Justin; Teressa Jones and husband Keno and their children: Kristopher Jones and Fiancee Rhiannon, Bradley Jones and Ryan Jones; Cindy Brown and husband David and their children: Jennifer Brown, Matthew Brown and Kevin Brown. Four great-Grandchildren: Jackson Roye, Shelby Roye, Austin Fuson and Dylan Liles also survive him.
Wayne is also survived by two brothers: Buster Green and wife Eudene, and Bob Green and wife Stella. Several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends survive him.
Funeral services were held Monday, November 20, 2006 in the Roberts/Reed-Culver Funeral Chapel with Bro. Lawrence Eagle and Bro. Ken Nakedhead officiating. Interment followed in the Salem Cemetery under the direction of Roberts/Reed-Culver Funeral Home.

Submitted by: Martha RealHarlene Green was born to Lenard and Margaret (Nakedhead) Kirk on November 26, 1938 in Stilwell, Oklahoma and departed this life on Sunday, December 1, 2013 in Stilwell, Oklahoma at the age of 75 years and 6 days.
Harlene started teaching elementary school in Bell in 1972. She became a grant writer for the public schools in Adair County and many other school systems in Oklahoma for 30 years. She was also a grants reader in Washington, D.C. during those years as well. Harlene worked at the Cherokee Nation, where she was instrumental in starting the Cherokee Children's Choir. She was an adamant advocate for restoring the Cherokee Language to the Cherokee people. She wrote and published the book, "Mariah, A Cherokee Woman". Harlene had three churches that were dear to her heart: Salem Baptist, Immanuel Baptist and Cherry Tree Baptist. She was a devout Christian lady.
She was preceded in death by her parents: Lenard and Margaret Kirk, husband: Kenneth Wayne "Peanut" Green, sisters: Sue & Gerrie, great grandson: Colorado Wayne Brown.
Remaining to keep her memory are her children: Michael Green and wife Celia, Teressa Jones and and husband Kenneth, Cynthia Brown and husband David, all of Stilwell, grandchildren: LaNetta Liles, Michele Roye, Elisabeth Fuson, Kristopher Jones, Bradley Jones and Ryan Jones, Jennifer Brown, Matthew Brown and Kevin Brown, 9 great grandchildren and many other relatives and friends.
Funeral services at 1 pm on Wednesday, December 4, 2013 at Salem Baptist Church, Stilwell, Oklahoma with Bro. David Mink officiating. Interment to follow at Salem Cemetery under the direction of Roberts/Reed-Culver Funeral Home.
