News article -- Stilwell Man Fatally Injured in Accident
Johnny Galcatcher, 24-year-old Stilwell man, was fatally injured in a two-vehicle accident on US 59 about four miles south of Stilwell at 3:20 a.m. Thursday of last week. Galcatcher was a passenger in a 1975 model Chevrolet pickup truck driven by Jimmy Duncan, 30, Stilwell, which was involved in a collision with a tractor trailer driven by Karlton Ray Parnell, 27, Mena, Arkansas. State Trooper Gary Fain said Duncan was driving north and slowed to make a left turn when the truck, also going north, started to pass. Fain said Duncan turned into the path of the truck. Another passenger in the pickup, Terry Byrd, 25, Stilwell, was critically injured. He is in Sparks Regional Medical Center in Fort Smith, Arkansas. Duncan sustained minor injuries, and the driver of the tractor-trailer truck was not hurt, it was reported.
