Christopher George French, life-long resident of Stilwell, Oklahoma, departed this life to be with the Lord on December 28, 2014 at the age of 45 at his home in Salem community.

Chris is survived by his children, son Tyler French and Tyler's girlfriend Chelsea Wallace; daughter Snow Burgess; son Evan Hawk; and daughter Tiaira French all of Stilwell, Oklahoma.

Chris also had a granddaughter, RayLynn French of Stilwell, Oklahoma; and one stepson Keoda Hammer of Westville, Oklahoma.

Chris also leaves behind his parents Henry & Virginia Sawney; brothers Troy Littledeer; Travis Sawney and Travis' girlfriend Kristi Flute, all of Stilwell, Oklahoma; and an abundance of loving aunts, uncles and cousins.

Chris is also survived by George French; Jeremy French; Latisha French; George French Jr.; and Clarissa Hammer.

Chris was born in Tahlequah, Oklahoma on June 19, 1969 to George French and Virginia (Crittenden) Sawney. He graduated from Stilwell High School in 1987. He spent most of his career working as a general laborer for companies like Mrs. Smith's; Connor Industries; Cherokee Casino; and Walmart.

Chris was a born again Christian; devoted father and a life long Oklahoma Sooner & Dallas Cowboys football supporter. There were fewer things Chris loved more than going on outings with his kids. He thoroughly enjoyed family gatherings and grilling before football games.

Chris was always in good spirits and could be counted on to be funny - sometimes purposely - almost everytime you visited with him. He was a loving father, beloved son & brother, and a great friend.

Funeral services were held at Hart's Funeral Home in Stilwell, Oklahoma on December 31, 2014 with Brothers Gill Hooper and Gary Flynn officiating. Chris was laid to rest at Salem Cemetery.
