Lizzie Mae Flynn, daughter of Snow and Winnie (Soap) Daugherty, was born July 26, 1937 in Adair County, Oklahoma and departed this life on Thursday, November 1, 2012 in Stilwell, Oklahoma at the age of 75 years, 3 months and 5 days.
Lizzie was a wonderful woman, who loved her family and every precious moment that she was able to spend with them. The Lord blessed Lizzie and Tom with over 59 years of marriage and a large loving family. She was a good friend, wife, mother and grandmother. Lizzie will be deeply missed by all and will remain forever in the hearts of her family and friends.
Preceding her in death were her parents: Snow and Winnie Daugherty, brothers: Martin and Jerry Daugherty, sons: Donald and Larry Flynn, grandson: Wyatt Duncan, granddaughter: Melandie England, nephew: Richie Canoe.
She is survived by her husband: Tom Flynn of the home near Stilwell, children: Billy Flynn of Big Springs, TX, Patsy Abbott, Tom Flynn, Jr., Roger Flynn and companion Renda Kirk, all of Stilwell, Gary Flynn and wife Neoma of Sallisaw, OK, 24 grandchildren, 51 great grandchildren, 2 great~great grandchildren and one on the way, brother: Johnny Daugherty and wife Christine, sisters: Emma Lou and husband Lawrence Eagle, Neoma Cochran, Lou Ann Eagle and husband Stoney, Doris Canoe and husband Richard, special granddaughter: Marissa Hallmark, all of Stilwell.
Funeral services were held at 10 am on Monday, November 5, 2012 at Salem Baptist Church with Bro. Gary Flynn and Bro. Kevin Flynn officiating. Interment followed at Salem Cemetery under the Roberts/Reed-Culver Funeral Home.
