Steven Michael Buckner Hatfield, son of Michael and Lisa (Foster) Hatfield, was born on January 21, 1988 in Stilwell, Oklahoma and departed this life on Wednesday, February 8, 2012 in Stilwell, Oklahoma at the age of 24 years and 19 days.
He worked in construction and loved to go hunting, fishing and to work on cars. He loved kids and they loved him. Steven never met a stranger. Some of his favorite times were spent with family, especially his nieces and nephews. He loved to hear their stories.
Steven was preceded in death by his grandparents; Steve Hatfield, Louise Hatfield, Mollie Spangler, aunt: Edith Feathers and several other aunts and uncles.
He is survived by a very loving family that includes his parents; Michael and Lisa Hatfield, 1 son; Kegan Smith of Quapaw, OK and a daughter on the way, sister; Danielle Trujillo and husband Juan Carlos of Tahlequah, OK, brothers; Christopher Buckner and wife Serena and Simeon Hatfield all of Stilwell, OK, grandpa; Oscar Foster of Stilwell, OK, nieces; Trista Buckner, Aubree Miller, Mollie Trujillo, Elvia Trujillo, nephews; Carlos Trujillo and Dyran Buckner. Aunt; Debbie Ketcher and husband Gene of Stilwell, OK, Terria Morton and husband Stephen of Mulberry, AR, uncles; George Foster and wife Jeanne of Kansas, Steve Foster of Weatherford, TX, William Foster of Stilwell, OK, Frank Keller and wife Cari of Tahlequah, OK, and Jason Buckner of Stroud, OK, several aunts, uncles, other relatives and many friends also survive him.
Funeral services were held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, February 14, 2012 at Roberts/Reed-Culver Chapel with Bro. Kendall Nakedhead officiating. Interment followed at Salem Cemetery.
