Lila Ann Gonzales
April 4, 1943 - April 2, 2007
Lila Gonzales daughter of John Sr. and Betty Jane (Smith) Bird was born April 4, 1943 in Tahlequah, Oklahoma and departed this life to be with her Lord on April 2, 2007 in tulsa, Oklahoma at the age of 63 years, 11 months, and 28 days.
Lila had a great love for her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She was a dedicated member of Sanders Flats Baptist Church and loved to sing gospel songs, give testimonies and read her Bible daily. Lila enjoyed the duties that followed her role of being a very loving mother and grandmother to her family. Lila loved eating out all the time especially at East Park.
She was preceded in death by her father; John Bird Sr., 1 brother; Ocie Bird, 1 sister; Janie Grayson and 1 step granddaughter; Kendra Dawn Girdner.
Lila is survived by a very loving family that includes 3 sons; Billy Gonzales and wife Carla, Dean Gonzales both of Stilwell, OK, Earl Gonzales and wife Christine of Tahlequah, OK, 2 daughters; Lora Gail Duncan and husband Michael, Greta Flute and husband John both of Stilwell, OK, her mother; Betty Jane Bird, 10 grandchildren, 3 step grandchildren, 3 step great grandchildren, 3 sisters; Laura Bunch and husband George, Charlene Locust and husband Leroy and Shirley Fourkiller all of Stilwell, OK, 4 brothers; Johnny Bird, Bunch, OK, John Bird Jr. and wife Marcella of Marble city, OK, Fabian Bird and wife Sara of Colcord, OK, Terry Bird and wife Renee of Stilwell, OK.
Several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends also survive her.
Funeral services were held Thursday April 5, 2007 with Bro. Wayne Bunch and Bro. John Gonzales Jr. officiating.
Interment followed in the Rock Fence Cemetery under the direction of Roberts/Reed-Culver Funeral Home.
