Lizzie Marie (Vann) Bird, daughter of Josiah and Linnie (Beaver) Vann was born on December 30, 1936 in Stilwell, Oklahoma, and departed this life on August 31, 2016 at the age of 79 years, 8 months and 1 day.
Lizzie loved spending time with her family and friends, going to church, but most of all she loved to sing for her Lord Jesus Christ. She was a devoted wife, mother, granny and Christian. She was a very giving and loving person to everyone she met. She was a natural caregiver, sacrificing her needs for those she loved. Lizzie attended Bunch Assembly of God. Lizzie was a servant of integrity, an encourager and a true loving friend to all.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ocie Bird, her son, James (Bobby) Bird, one grandson, Randall Wayne Bird, her parents, Josiah and Linnie Vann; sisters: Sallie, Lucy, Mollie, Katie, Emma, Polly, and Martha; brothers Holly, George, and William (Coon).
Lizzie is survived by her children: Perry Bird and wife Bobbie of Tahlequah, Sarah Fourkiller, Gena Miller, Donnie Bird, Eddy Bird and wife Stacy, all of Stilwell, brother: Soldier Vann and wife Lillie of Stilwell, 13 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many, many friends also survive her.
Funeral services were held, Wednesday, September 7, 2016 in the Roberts/Reed- Culver Chapel with Brother Azle Lloyd and Brother Joey Ketcher officiating. Interment followed in the Rock Fence Cemetery under the direction of Roberts/Reed-Culver Funeral Home.
