James Robert Pruitt, the son of Jack and Olline(Hummingbird) Pruitt, was born January 24, 1953 in Westville, Oklahoma and departed this life on January 29, 2020 in Stilwell, Oklahoma at the age of 67 years and 5 days.
 

Bob enjoyed life and he loved his family. He loved spending time and playing with his grandchildren. He was a sports fan, he loved football, especially OU, and he enjoyed watching Tiger Woods play golf. He enjoyed horse racing and playing the slots, now and then. He loved his dogs. Bob touched many lives over the years and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
 

He was preceded in death by his parents; his son, Robert Allen Pruitt; his sister, Carolyn Thomas and and infant brother.
 

He is survived by a loving family which includes his wife Janet Pruitt of the home; his children Leslie Ann Barrick and husband Nick of Broken Arrow, Daniel Pruitt and wife Nicole of Glenpool, and Jana Pruitt and fiance’ Quinton Blair of Westville; his stepsons Joshua Knight of Bristol, Va. and Christopher Knight of Lawton, his brothers, Ron Pruitt of Stilwell, Earl Pruitt and wife Ellen of Smithville, Michael Pruitt and wife Linda of Baron and Raymond “Dean” Pruitt and wife Sharon of Wickes, Ark.; his sisters, Jacqueline Hopper and husband Gary of Sherwood, Ark., Susan Hammons and husband Jerry of Tahlequah, and Emma Gipson and husband Dale of Rose; 11 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. Several nieces, nephews, friends and other relatives also survive him.
 

Funeral services were held Monday, February 3, 2020 at Hart Memorial Chapel with Bro. Justin Davis officiating.

Interment followed at Reese Cemetery under the care and direction of Hart Funeral Home.
