Tammy Ann (Mullin) Venable, daughter of Kermit G & Bonnie Jean Mullin was born February 1, 1963 in San Bernadino, California. She Departed this life to be with the Lord February 5, 2014 at her home in Tahlequah, Oklahoma at the age of 51 years and 4 days. Tammy lived in Trona, California until the age of 8 yrs, when the family moved to Watts, Oklahoma.
She played basketball on the Watts high school basketball team. She also was a cheerleader and was very involved in the school’s activities. She married Anthony Davis, of Siloam Springs, Ark in 1981. To this union was born a daughter Natasha Dawn Davis. She later married Andy Venable of Springdale, AR. Tammy and Andy owned along with her brother, Jim, Copy Shop Inc. (a quick print and copier dealer) in Springdale, AR. Andy handled the service and delivery end of the business and Tammy ran the office. Tammy enjoyed crafting and working with plants of all kinds. She would get something and see if she could make it grow. She would take one of her mother’s plants that had died and bring it back to life.
Tammy was the youngest child of the family. Her brother was thrilled to have a younger sister, but after a few days Jim said to his mother, “when are you going to take this girl back?” I remember one time she was in the back bedroom and she began to yell “Jim quit, stop it Jim, (she was trying to get him into trouble with his mother,) but she didn’t know that Jim was in the same room as his mother at the time. But she thought there was no greater person than her brother.
Tammy was a Daddy’s girl. Even when it came to fixing her hair she would have to have daddy fix it, then if anyone touched her hair she would draw back and say, “Don’t messie up my hair, I’ll tell my daddy.”
Tammy’s grandson, Tyson, (Scooter) said, “Although she is gone, she is still the greatest Nana that I ever had.”
Tammy had a serious auto accident that almost took her life which resulted in her having to have many operations, the most recent a total hip replacement and at the time of her death she was still undergoing physical therapy. Tammy loved the Lord and her church and family. She was a member of the Hwy # 51 Lighthouse Church of Tahlequah.
Tammy was preceded in death by one grandson Taren Jackson Davis.
Tammy is survived by her parents, Kermit and Bonnie Mullin, of Tahlequah, one brother, Jim Mullin of Tahlequah, one daughter, Natasha Dawn Davis, 4 grandchildren, Tyson Nakia Murice Wimbley, Lola May Jean Matlock, Emma Dawn Bell Matlock and Conner Joseph James Matlock, all of Phoenix, Arizona. And a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and loved ones, who were touched by her life and will greatly miss her.
