Funeral services for Ancil Alvin Maggard were held on Wednesday, May 30, 2007 at Faith Holiness Church in Westville, Oklahoma. Interment followed at Proctor Cemetery under the direction of Hart Funeral Home of Tahlequah.
Ancil Alvin Maggard was born September 18th, 1913 in Venus, Arkansas, and went to be with his Lord on May 26th, 2007 at the age of 93 years, 8 months and 8 days. He was the son of John Maggard and Belle (Woodard) Maggard.
Preceding Ancil in death were his parents; three brothers, Floyd, Ed and Neil Maggard; and three sisters; Lora, Lodema and Loveda.
Ancil is survived by his wife of 67 years, Flossie Maggard, of the home; a stepdaughter, Sylvia Young of Proctor, OK; one brother, Kenneth Maggard and wife Margie of Proctor; two sisters-in-law, Wanda Maggard and Eva Mae Maggard; five step-grandchildren, Olen Young of Ponca City, OK, Travis Young and wife Mary of Denver, CO, Lynn Young and wife Kristy of Lincoln, AR, Wendy Boyd and husband Scott of Green River, WY, and Leila Kelly and husband Joe; five step-great-grandchildren; and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, and other relatives and friends.

Flossie (Weaver) Maggard was born July 24, 1914, in Clearfork Community, Oklahoma, to Thomas and Liza (Smith) Weaver. She passed from this life on September 24, 2011, at the age of 97 years and 2 months.
Flossie married Ancil Alvin Maggard on November 15, 1939, in Tahlequah, Oklahoma. Flossie has one daughter, Sylvia Marie. Flossie and Ancil made their home in Proctor, where they owned the Proctor General Store for 20 years. They had been married for 67 and a half years when Ancil passed away in May of 2007.
Flossie was preceded in death by her husband, Ancil Maggard; her parents, Thomas and Liza Weaver, one brother, Joe Weaver and one sister, Hattie Weaver.
She is survived by her daughter, Sylvia Young, of Proctor; five grandchildren, Lynn Young and wife, Kristy, of Lincoln, AR, Wendy Boyd and husband, Scott, of Green River, WY, Travis Young and wife, Mary, of Denver, CO, Olen Young and wife, Tamie, of Ponca City, OK, Leila Kelley and husband, Joe, of Fayetteville, AR; five great grandchildren, Denver Poteet, Brooke Young, April Kelly, Tim Kelly and James Kelly; one brother-in-law, Kenneth Maggard and one sister-in-law, Wanda Maggard.
Services will be held 2:00 p.m. Thursday, September 29, 2011, at Hart Memorial Chapel with Pastor Olin Vaughan officiating. Interment will follow at Proctor Cemetery under the direction of Hart Funeral Home of Westville.
