Don Everette Leak, son of Everette Leroy and Alma Jean (Hall) Leak, was born on January 14, 1941 in Prairie Grove, Arkansas and departed this life on Monday, August 26, 2019 surrounded by loved ones at his home near Westville, Oklahoma at 78 years of age.
He attended grade school at Proctor and graduated from Westville High School. Don enlisted in the National Guard and served his state and country. Don was united in marriage to Arlene Hope Gruttis on November 14, 1964. He was our perfect husband, Daddy, Gramps and mentor. Don was a hard worker and excellent provider. He wore many hats during his working years. Don was a family man, farmer/rancher, construction, and factory worker. He was a jack of all trades and could do absolutely anything. Don also served his community as a member of the Westville Public Schools Board for 10- plus years. 1 Cor. 13:8 Love never fails… He enjoyed many hobbies including fishing, hunting and watching western movies. Playing cards with his family was one of his favorite things. Don loved life and his family to the fullest. He loved his kids, grandkids and great grandkids and was proud of their accomplishments. Don understood the gift of love and shared it with every path crossed. He was a friendly, outgoing man, who never met a stranger and loved pulling pranks. He made many friends during his life and will be dearly missed by all. 1 Cor. 13:13 And now these three remain; Faith, Hope, and Love. But the greatest of these is Love.Interment followed in the Proctor Cemetery under the direction of Roberts/Reed-Culver Funeral Home.
