Edgar Hamilton
November 30, 1923 - January 4, 2006
Edgar Hamilton, the son of Grover Cleveland and Katie (Weaver) Hamilton, was born November 30, 1923 in Proctor, Oklahoma and departed this life on January 4, 2006 at his home in Stilwell, at the age of 82 years, 1 month and 4 days.
Mr. Hamilton lived most of his life in Adair County and his usual occupation was that of a farmer.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and three brothers: Ausa Hamilton, Lee Hamilton and Issac “Fat” Hamilton.
He is survived by a very loving family that includes one brother: Toy “Bum” Hamilton of Anderson, CA., three sisters: Dovie Mae Woodall of Springdale, Anna Bell Henson and husband Bob of Watts and Lily Hubbard of Proctor. A host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends also survive him.
Graveside services were held Monday, January 9, 2006 at 10:00 a.m. at the Proctor Community Cemetery with Bro. Larry Kindle officiating.
Interment followed under the direction of Roberts Funeral Home of Westville.
