Proctor, OK ~ Funeral services for Iva Francis Doss will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday May 30, 2014 at the Hart Funeral Chapel with Bro. Glen Jones officiating. Interment will follow in the Proctor Cemetery in Proctor, Oklahoma under the care and direction of Hart Funeral Home of Tahlequah.

Iva Francis Doss the daughter of Rommie and Iva Oneta (Martin) Hendrix was born November 26, 1925 in Barnsdall, Oklahoma and departed this life on May 27, 2014 in Tahlequah, Oklahoma at the age of 88 years, 6 months and 1 day.

Iva enjoyed life and she thoroughly enjoyed gardening, taking care of her flowers and watching the birds as they would come in and around her flower gardens. She also enjoyed shopping and wouldn’t pass up a good deal. Iva’s joy in life was cooking. She worked as a cook for many different schools and organizations and she enjoyed making her famous yeast rolls and sweet cinnamon rolls. Her cooking was a way for her to be a blessing to people and make them happy, and if you ever sat down for one of her meals you never walked away unhappy. Iva loved her family and held a special place in her heart for her grandchildren. She touched many lives and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Dallas Lee Doss; 2 sisters and 4 brothers.

She is survived by a loving family which includes her children Boots Doss and wife Marlys of Tahlequah, Glenn F. Doss and LaDonna Baird of Proctor, Carol Sue Jennings and husband Dwayne of Titanic and Kenneth Dwayne Doss and wife Beverly of Proctor; her brothers Ed Hendrix and wife Alice of Oregon and James Hendrix and wife Anita of Washington; 7 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. Many nieces, nephews, friends and other relatives also survive her.
