Proctor - Sanders Community Cemetery
Zilpha Elizabeth Ackerman
Proctor-Graveside services for Zilpha Elizabeth Ackerman will be held Saturday, April 13, at 10 a.m. at the Proctor Cemetery under the direction of the Reed-Culver Funeral Home with Rev. Gene Budy officiating.
Pallbearers will be Bob Skaggs, John Lockwood, Steven Cain, Dick Hamby, Larry Skaggs and Wayne Bateman.
Zilpha Ackerman was born Dec. 17, 1911 in Maysville Ark., the daughter of George Wesley and Maud Ann (Loftis) Skaggs and passed from this life on April 6, 2002 in Hot Springs Ark.
She married Arthur James Ackerman on Oct. 6, 1941, and was a member of Browning Baptist Church in Turney, Mo. She is preceded in death by her husband, Arthur James Ackerman; two brothers, Edgar Winford Skaggs and Herrell Wesley Skaggs; and two sisters, Hattie Willdella Budy and Margaret Catherine Hart.
She is survived by her daughter Maude "Marty" Lynch and husband Wayne, of Hot Springs, Ark.; a son, Paul Ackerman and wife Kathy, of Stockton, Calif.; daughter Jane Ackerman of St. Joseph, Mo.; and her brother, Woodrow Uvelda Skaggs of Tahlequah; as well as a host of friends and loved ones.
