Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 10, 2013, at New Life Church with Bro. Todd Dowty and Bro. Joey Ketcher officiating. Interment will follow at Preacher Lane Cemetery under the direction of Hart Funeral Home of Stilwell.
Michael Dewayne Eagle was born July 28, 1964, in Clinton, Oklahoma, to Lawrence and Emma (Daugherty) Eagle. He departed this life to be with the Lord on September 3, 2013, at Hillcrest Hospital in Tulsa, Oklahoma, at the age of 49 years, 1 month and 5 days.
Mike graduated from Stilwell High School in 1983. He worked as a chicken catcher for Simmons Industries for many years and also worked mowing lawns. In 1995, he met Erica Howard and they were married in Eureka Springs, Arkansas on November 16, 2001. Mike enjoyed the time he spent with his grandchildren and his friends. His hobbies included coon hunting, camping, deer hunting, race cars, bull riding and rodeos. Mike was a member of Salem Baptist Church.
He leaves behind a loving family which includes, his wife, Erica Eagle, of the home in Stilwell; his parents, Lawrence and Emma Eagle, of Stilwell; sons, Johnathan Mink and wife, Amy, of Tahlequah, Dalton Wallis, of Stilwell, daughters, Michlynn Eagle, of Stilwell, Marla Eagle and Jared Killer, of Tulsa; Hanna Eagle and Wesley Drain, of Tahlequah Randi Wallis and Clayton Teehee, of Stilwell; seven grandchildren, Alexia and Gracie Mink, KyeLee, Mykel, Kally, and Kynzie Eagle and Kolby Wallis; brother, Steven Eagle and wife, Tami, of Stilwell; sisters, Pamela Turtle and husband, Mike, of Tahlequah, Tresa Eagle and Greg Eubanks, of Stilwell. Numerous aunts, uncles, nephews and one niece also survive him.
