Brandie Dawn Thomas, daughter of Melvin Dewayne Thomas and Della Deann Morton was born March 5, 1986 in Tahlequah, Oklahoma and departed this life to be with our Lord on August 5, 2013 in Little Rock, Arkansas at the tender age of 27 years and 5 months.
Brandie loved God. She was a very free spirited young lady who enjoyed life. She also enjoyed shopping for clothes, fixing others hair, getting her nails done and had a great love for music. She worked in the nursing industry for several years and enjoyed taking care of people. She also enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her nephews and was a true “Daddy’s Girl”.
Brandie was preceded in death by her grandma; Anita Gail Thomas and great grandparents; Luther and Mabel Thomas, Walter and Ella Morton, Layhoma and Charles Davis, Ellis Buffington and Gertrude Russell.
She is survived by a very loving family that includes her daddy; Melvin Thomas and wife Rosie of Tahlequah, OK, momma; Della Zeigler and husband Thomas, brother; Clay Morton of Sallisaw, OK, sisters; Deanna Johnson and husband Matt of Tahlequah, OK, Amy Poor and husband Mike of Stilwell, OK, 7 nephews; Hunter Thomas, Gavin Johnson, Ithyan Johnson, Luke Morton, Pearce Poor, Legend Poor and Maverick Poor. Grandparents; Luther Thomas, Andy and Ivon Morton all of Stilwell, OK, Betty Langworthy and Orville Larue of Jay, OK, uncle; Terry Thomas and wife Christy, aunts; Amanda Gilbert and husband Brandon of Stilwell, OK, Shauna Dunn and husband Roger of Tahlequah, OK, Cindy Jackson and husband Chuck of Ft. Smith, AR, Crickett Kidd and husband Buster of Evansville, AR, several other relatives and many friends also survive her.
Funeral services were held, Monday, August 12, 2013 at 11:00 A.M. in the Roberts/ Reed-Culver Funeral Chapel with Bro. Tom Cochran officiating. Interment followed in the Piney Cemetery under the direction of Roberts/Reed-Culver Funeral Home.
