Stephen Douglas Vann the son of Johnny Sr. and Nona (Williams) Vann was born September 29, 1964 in Tahlequah, Oklahoma and departed this life on December 29, 2019 in Tulsa, Oklahoma at the age of 55 years and 3 months.
 

Stephen enjoyed life and he loved his family. He was an artist. He was proud of his Indian Heritage and he showed that in his art. He loved to paint and draw, but creating dream catchers, walking sticks and lamps was his passion. He enjoyed being outdoors hunting for arrowheads. He always had an open door for his friends, and anyone else who may need a little help. Stephen touched many lives over the years and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
 

He was preceded in death by his parents; his sister Theresa Vann; great nephew Kaden Crow and great niece Lilly Hignite.
 

He is survived by a loving family which includes his sisters Carolyn Crow of Stilwell and Dee Pearson and husband John of Fayetteville; and his brother Johnny Vann Jr. of West Siloam Springs. Several nieces, nephews, friends and other relatives also survive him.


Graveside services were held 1:00 p.m. Friday, January 3, 2020 at Pilgrim Rest Cemetery with Bro. Brian Kester officiating.

Burial was under the direction of Hart Funeral Home.
